Niger State Gov orders demolition of fueling station in Minna
Niger State Governor Mohammad Umaru Bago has revoked the certificate of occupancy of a fiueling station and ordered its demolition in Minna, the state capital.
The Governor gave the order when he inspected the fiueling station along Ketaren Gwari, in Minna metropolis.
According to him, the structure was illegal and its location was not safe for the people of the area, insisting that he had earlier asked the owners to stop work,he refused to adhere to the directives.
The Governor said: “We have a report of the illegal structure, and I have asked the Urban Development Board to stop them from work, but they continued, so we have no option than to revoked the C of O from today, and we will mark it for demolition.”
Bago further insisted: “It’s uncalled for in the midst of people to have such structure, it’s hazardous to the lives of the immediate community, it’s not acceptable and the structure have to go.”
