Governor Bago Joins Etsu Nupe to Break Fast in Bida
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has joined the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers in breaking the Ramadan fast at his palace in Bida.
The fast-breaking event, initiated by the Etsu Nupe, was also attended by public officials, traditional titleholders, and members of the Bida Emirate.
Governor Umaru Bago described the gathering as historic and urged that it be continued.
He expressed gratitude to the Etsu Nupe for organizing the fast-breaking with him at the palace.
During the occasion, the farmer governor appealed to the people of the state to remain law-abiding and to keep praying to Allah, especially during this period of spiritual reflection by Muslims and Christians alike, for themselves, their leaders, and for divine intervention in the challenges facing the state.
He conveyed optimism that the recently approved Jebba-Bida-Lambata road reconstruction project, along with the ongoing Minna-Bida road, would significantly boost the economy of the Emirate and the entire state upon completion.
The farmer governor also assured the public of his commitment to continue implementing policies and programs that will improve people’s lives.
Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. Yahaya Abubakar, said that breaking fast with the farmer governor and his entourage was meant to strengthen the bond between his administration and the Emirate.
He praised the governor’s leadership style and pledged continued support for his people-focused policies for the benefit of all.
Highlighting the importance of unity, the Etsu Nupe urged residents to intensify prayers for wisdom and strength for the governor to successfully complete all initiated projects and for the overall success of his administration.
A special prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Bida, Sheikh Adamu Yakatu, seeking Allah’s continued protection for the governor and his family, and for lasting peace in Bida Emirate and the entire state.
