APC Inaugurates Central Coordination Committee for 2026 National Convention
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago is among the 92 members of the Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who were recently inaugurated.
The Party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, officially inaugurated the committee at the Party’s Secretariat in Abuja.
He emphasized that committee members were selected based on their integrity, extensive experience, and dedication to party ideals, aiming to ensure a transparent, inclusive, credible, and fitting convention for a ruling party.
The APC National Chairman urged members to transcend partisan interests and personal sentiments, expecting excellence from each of them. He assured that the national and party leadership would support the committee with resources, cooperation, and goodwill to fulfill its mandate.
He highlighted that the committee’s efforts would strengthen the party and foster unity among members.
Bello Masari, Chairman of the Central Coordination Committee, expressed gratitude to party leadership and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the trust placed in them. He committed to approaching their responsibilities with fairness and strict adherence to the party’s constitution, working closely with relevant organs to ensure a peaceful, credible, and successful 2026 convention.
Masari emphasized that the committee would act with impartiality and collective responsibility, consulting widely and acting decisively in the best interest of the party. He noted that disciplined internal conduct and preventing undue ambition are vital to maintaining party unity and ensuring a successful convention.
The subcommittees of the Central Coordination Committee are expected to be constituted and announced in due course.
