Izom Community Interface Committee Inaugurated to Enhance Local Development.
The District Head of Izom, Alhaji Ibrahim Salihu Agwara, has inaugurated the Izom Community Interface Committee, a new body established to promote the well-being of the Izom community.
The committee is entrusted with several critical responsibilities, including engaging with government authorities on pressing community issues, acting as a liaison with various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to address local concerns, and mediating conflicts to ensure peace and stability within Izom.
Additionally, the committee aims to assist in securing government appointments for deserving indigenes and provide advisory support on matters affecting the Palace.
The inauguration event was attended by prominent local leaders and stakeholders, such as Dr. Mas’ud Mohammed and Bar. Umar Mohammed, who are dedicated to the ongoing development of the Izom community.
His Highness Mal Abubakar Lado Ahmad, the Village Head of Izom, underscored the importance of the committee in fostering a productive relationship between the community and government entities.
He encouraged the committee members to approach their roles with dedication and integrity.
The establishment of this committee represents a significant move towards collaboration between the Izom community and government agencies, setting the stage for sustainable development and improved community welfare.
