Office of the Acccountant General of the Federation, FG,States,LGAs Share N1.681 Trillion in April 2025 Revenue.

Office of the Acccountant General of the Federation,
FG,States,LGAs Share N1.681 Trillion in April 2025 Revenue.

A total of N1.681 trillion, representing the Federation Account Revenue for April 2025, has been distributed among the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils.

This distribution took place during the May 2025 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja.

The N1.681 trillion total distributable revenue is composed of several components:

– Distributable statutory revenue of N962.882 billion
– Distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N598.077 billion
– Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue of N38.862 billion
– Exchange Difference of N81.407 billion

According to a communiqué issued by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), the total gross revenue available for April 2025 was N2.848 trillion. After deductions for cost of collection amounting to N101.051 billion, and total transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings of N1066.442 billion, the gross statutory revenue for the month stood at N2.084 trillion.

This figure reflects an increase compared to the N1.718 trillion received in March 2025 by an amount of N365.595 billion.

From the Value Added Tax (VAT) in April 2025, a gross revenue of N642.265 billion was recorded, which is also higher than the NN637.618 billion collected in March 2025 by N4.647 billion.

The Federal Government’s share from the total distributable revenue of N1.681 trillion was N565.307 billion, while State Governments received N556.741 billion. Local Government Councils received N406.627 billion, and an additional NN152.553 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was allocated to the benefiting States as derivation revenue.

Regarding the distributable statutory revenue of N962.882 billion, the Federal Government received N431.307 billion, State Governments received N218.765 billion, and Local Government Councils received N168.659 billion.

The sum of NN144.151 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was also shared with the benefiting States as derivation revenue.

From the distributable VAT revenue amounting to N598.077 billion, the Federal Government received N89.712 billion, State Governments received N299.039 billion, and Local Government Councils received N209.327 billion.

The Federal Government received N5.829 billion from the N38.862 billion collected as Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). State Governments received N19.431 billion and Local Government Councils received N13.602 billion from this levy.

From the N81.407 billion in Exchange Difference, the Federal Government received N38.459 billion, State Governments received N19.507 billion, and Local Government Councils received N15.039 billion. Additionally, N8.402 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was distributed to the benefiting States as derivation revenue.

In April 2025, there was a significant increase in revenues from the Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalty, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), Value Added Tax (VAT), Excise Duty, Import Duty, and CET Levies, while Companies Income Tax (CIT) saw a considerable decrease.
