NUT, Commends Gov. Bago on the Approval and Implementation of N80,000 Minimum Wage for Teachers.

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Niger State chapter, led by Comrade Adamu Mohammed Akayago from Dokaji Tegina, has commended Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s administration for the unprecedented approval and implementation of a minimum wage of N80,000 for teachers in both primary and secondary schools across the state.
The Union has described this significant gesture as a remarkable step that will enhance the morale and productivity of teachers in Niger State.
Furthermore, the NUT emphasized that the approval and implementation of the N80,000 minimum wage for both state and local government workers demonstrate Governor Umaru Bago’s unwavering commitment to realizing the “New Niger” agenda.
The Union also expressed profound gratitude to the organized labor movement, particularly Comrade Idrees Abdulkareem Lafene and Comrade Ibrahim Gana, for their dynamic, proactive, and hardworking leadership in achieving this milestone.
Comrade Adamu Mohammed Akayago applauded civil servants’ resilience, patience, support, and prayers, especially teachers, in bringing about this groundbreaking achievement.
He calls on civil servants, particularly teachers, to redouble their efforts and dedication to their work to continue justifying the implementation of the new minimum wage.
