DG Policy and Strategy Urges Nigerlites to Support Governor Bago’s Leadership and Development Efforts-Labaran
The Director General of Policy and Strategy to the Niger State Governor, Comrade Labaran Garba, has praised the leadership style and developmental strategies of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago during his project assessment tour across the 25 local government areas of the state.
Comrade Labaran Garba urged Nigerlites to embrace the Governor’s leadership approach for the progress and development of the state.
He made this call in a statement issued to Journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital, on Wednesday.
The statement, officially signed by the Director General, emphasized that the Governor’s tour would ensure Nigerlites receive value for the funds spent on executing projects.
He noted that the lack of accountability in the past had resulted in poorly executed projects and many abandoned or incomplete government initiatives throughout the state.
He commended the Farmer Governor for leveraging his youth to change this narrative for the better.
Additionally, he lauded the Governor’s courage in traversing local government areas with significant security challenges, providing residents facing these issues with a sense of belonging and hope that the government has not abandoned them.
The Policy and Strategy DG stated that the tour aligns with the State Government’s policies and the New Niger Development Agenda, particularly in promoting agricultural revolution, green economy programs, and agricultural mechanization transformation.
He applauded the Bago-led administration’s commitment to providing first-class health facilities, as evidenced by the ongoing construction of the IBB University Teaching Hospital in Minna and upgrades to healthcare facilities in Kagara, New Bussa, and Mashegu, as well as urban and rural road construction and rehabilitation throughout the state.
He urged the people of Niger State to take ownership of the projects, protect them, and appreciate government policies against any setbacks. Comrade Labaran Garba also commended the Governor for his support of various women’s groups and organizations during his recent tour of Zone C.
He appealed to women and youth in the state to rise to the challenge of fostering a New Niger State by aligning their efforts with the Farmer Governor’s policies and programs.
He expressed optimism that the current administration would continue to seek opportunities to empower youth and women as partners in the socio-economic development and growth of Niger State.
Finally, the Director General called on all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state to continue engaging with the commendable programs, activities, and policies of the state government to actualize the New Niger Initiative.
