Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Faruq Bahago has enjoined Women to be Patriotic.

His royal highness the emir of Minna Alhaji ( Dr) Umar Farouq Bahago has enjoyed women in politics to be patriotic in their course of exercising there responsibilities assigned to them
The emir made this statement during the Sallah homage visit made to him by the Women and Affirmative Action group in the state, that took place at his palace, on Friday, here in Minna
He said ” although this is the first visit by women in politics group in the state to this palace. But it is timely and needed by Minna emirate and other emirates in the state
This is because women as mothers to the society, have played a vital role in the state politics. And have been assigned to vital positions in the government. To enable the masses most especially women and youths to benefit
So as to have the needed developments by the society as dividends of democracy in the state under the leadership of farmer Governor Rt. Hon Umar Muhammad Bago as promised
Therefore we urged you to be patriotic in the course of exercising duties to the state and to the country. For meaningful developments to be recorded
Then the emir sympathized to the families of people attacked or killed and kidnapped by the bandits in Kuchi village of Munya Local Government area which is under his emirate. And other places that are facing insecurity challenges in the state and the country
He also blessed the Women and affirmative action group and assured them of his support to them. And prayed for the success of the group in the state
Speaking to newsmen during the historic visit, the special adviser to the Governor of Niger state on Women on Women and Affirmative Affairs and leader of rhe delegation, Mrs Mary Noel Berje said ” the historic visit is a good initiative.
And to show our loyalty and respect to his royal highness the emir of Minna for his support to women and youths in the state towards their developments
Also to continue to partner with the emirate in terms of development in various sectors of life. Which is needed for economical viability of the society
Also the former commissioner of Women Affairs in the state and also the newly appointed member of Alex Ekweme Federal University governing council, Ebonyi State, Barrister Amina Guar has expressed her gratitude to the emir and Niger state government. For the support given her and to women in the state
During this historic visit, the Women and Affirmative group consists of former commissioners, permanent secretaries, Director Generals, special advisers in the state. And other high caliber of women participating in the state political affairs
