Court in Abuja Grants ₦2 Billion Bail to Miyetti Allah President Bello Bodejo
Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja has approved bail of ₦2 billion for Bello Bodejo, the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore. The bail conditions include two responsible sureties one owning property within Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and the other providing valid tax clearance certificates for 2023, 2024, and 2025, subject to verification by the court registrar.
Bodejo is also required to surrender his travel documents, with the Nigeria Immigration Service notified, restricting him from leaving the country or traveling outside the court’s jurisdiction without prior approval.
The case is scheduled for trial from October 5 to 7, 2026. Bodejo was arraigned on July 9, 2026, by the EFCC on a 12-count money laundering charge involving $2.33 million. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
