First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Attends Renewed Hope International Racing Derby in Bida

The First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, and Niger State governor, Alhaji Mohammed Umaru Bago, were among prominent Nigerians who attended the grand finale of the Renewed Hope International Racing Derby in Bida.
The week-long event, held at the Sultan Abubakar Sa’ad Racecourse in Bida, was organized to honor President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Horse racing enthusiasts from both within and outside the state competed in various categories, including President Tinubu’s Cup, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu’s Cup, and Governor Umaru Bago’s Cup.
Other trophies contested for included the Emir of Zazzau’s Cup, the Etsu Nupe’s Cup, and the Shehu Diko’s Cup.
Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, visibly excited about the event, handed out trophies, car keys, and checks to the winners in second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
She was also given a horse gift by Etsu Yahaya Abubakar, the lifelong patron of the Horse Riding Federation of Nigeria and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, on behalf of the federation.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, Minister of Information and National Orientation Muhammad Idris Malagi, Minister of State for Agriculture Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Senator representing Niger East, Sen. Muhammad Sani Musa, and the member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Musa Abdul.
Traditional leaders, such as the Emir of Kagara, Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, along with others from within and outside the state, also participated.
Additional notable guests included the National Chairman of the Horse Riding Federation of Nigeria, Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, his Vice, Prof. Zainab Gobir, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Diko, and several others.
