Niger Foods celebrates community and institutional champions for promoting agricultural innovation to enhance food security and sustainable practices.

Prominent figures in Niger State have been recognized for their contributions to community development and institutional reforms focused on improving food security at the Agra – Niger Rice Trade Fair and Exhibition.
Among those honored were the Coordinator of the Bago Ruga Ruga group, Mallam Hassan Shiroro, and the Director General of Schools and Education Reforms, Hajiya Maimuna Mohammed, who were celebrated for their exceptional service to society.
Both received the Niger Foods Award for advancing food security.
The award to Hajiya Maimuna Mohammed, Director General of Schools and Education Reforms, was in recognition of her efforts in improving food security through student school farms—a multi-dimensional achievement impacting students, families, and the community, and highlighting the global importance of student-led agricultural innovation.
The award to Alhaji Hassan Shiroro acknowledged his outstanding efforts to strengthen food security in the Ruga community. His dedication to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and ensuring access to nutritious food for all residents is highly commendable.
This achievement reflects his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our people.
