2026 APC National Convention: All APC national officers were re-elected by consensus.
The APC National Convention, held at Eagle Square, Abuja, was described as a pivotal moment for the party.
The convention fostered camaraderie among counterparts and party leaders, symbolizing unity and solidarity.
A total of 8,453 delegates from across the country participated, along with thirty-two APC governors, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kasim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
Many ministers, former and current governors, senators, and House members also attended.
All APC National officers were re-elected by consensus, a move aimed at uniting leadership and reinforcing the party’s direction and stability.
The convention aimed to confirm and renew party leadership, promote unity, address internal issues, and prepare for the upcoming general elections.
In his address, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of national unity for Nigeria’s development.
He reassured citizens that the APC remains committed to overcoming challenges and building a stronger Nigeria.
Tinubu also announced plans to improve electricity supply and empower women, encouraging calm amid difficulties.
Key stakeholders, including Senate President Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Jibrin, House Speaker Abbas, Progressive Governors Forum Chairman Uzodinma, and Nigeria Governors Forum Chairman Abdulrazak, reaffirmed their dedication to the President’s renewed hope initiative.
