Management of the Government Printing Press Transfers to A. A. Helmer Solutions Limited
The Niger State Government has officially transferred operational control of the Niger State Printing Press to A. A. Helmer Solutions Limited as part of a revitalization initiative and professional management partnership for three years.
This move aligns with the reform goals of Umaru Muhammed Bago’s administration under the New Niger Agenda, which aims to improve government efficiency, enhance public service delivery, and ensure all agencies effectively fulfill their statutory roles.
At the handover ceremony held on site, Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Abdulrazaaq Mu’azu Jikantoro, highlighted the importance of integrity, commitment, and diligence for the partnership’s success.
He stated that revitalizing the Printing Press would enhance the government’s communication system, lessen dependence on external printing services, and improve transparency, efficiency, and accountability in producing official documents.
The Commissioner urged A. A. Helmer Solutions Limited’s management to fulfill their duties by restoring the facility to peak productivity and operational standards. He also called on staff to stay dedicated and cooperative to make the initiative successful.
Olumide Ajayi, representing the company as Project Coordinator, assured the State Government of the organization’s readiness to fulfill contractual obligations.
He pledged to use expertise and modern printing technologies to revitalize the facility, improve service delivery, and bring back full operational capacity.
Additionally, Dr. Idris A. Legbo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, praised the State Government for this strategic move to revive the Printing Press and strengthen institutional capacity in the public service.
He observed that this partnership is likely to increase the state’s internally generated revenue, create jobs, improve service delivery to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), and position the Printing Press as a key provider of government and commercial printing services.
The initiative aims to promote good governance by ensuring the timely production of official materials, boosting operational efficiency across MDAs, and supporting broader institutional renewal efforts of the current administration.
