BOSA National President pays tribute to Late Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Dogo
The National President of the Bida Old Students Association (BOSA), retired Major-General Abdulmalik Halidu Giwa, has paid glowing tribute to a member of the Board of Trustees, late Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Dogo, for his immense contributions toward repositioning the association.
General Halidu Giwa, popularly known as Taimakon Nupe, made the remarks while leading a BOSA delegation on a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at Zarmai Quarters, Minna.
Speaking on behalf of the National President, the National Vice President I of the association, Alhaji Muhammadu Agwai, described the death of Alhaji Abubakar Dogo as a great loss, considering the critical roles he played in the formation and nurturing of the association to its present status.
Alhaji Agwai noted that the late Alhaji Dogo was appointed to the Board of Trustees alongside former President Ibrahim Babangida because of his sincerity and straightforward approach to the affairs of the association. He added that the deceased’s contributions to the recent efforts at restrategizing BOSA, particularly through the formation of four standing committees, would not be forgotten.
According to him, the late Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Dogo lived an exemplary life and was committed to mentoring others to uphold integrity and sincerity in their activities.
General Halidu Giwa extended the heartfelt condolences of BOSA members to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty Allah grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest, urging the family to accept the will of Allah.
Responding on behalf of the family, Alhaji Ibrahim Dogo expressed appreciation to the BOSA delegation for the condolence visit and prayed that Allah rewards them abundantly.
