FG, STATES, LGCs SHARE N1.969 TRILLION December 2025 REVENUE
A total of N1.969 trillion, representing the December 2025 Federation Account Revenue, has been distributed among the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils.
The revenue was allocated at the January 2026 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja.
The N1.969 trillion total distributable revenue included N1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, N846.507 billion in Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, and N38.110 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
A communiqué from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) stated that the total gross revenue for December 2025 was N2.585 trillion. Deducted for collection costs was N104.697 billion, with transfers, refunds, and savings totaling N511.585 billion.
The communiqué added that a gross statutory revenue of N1.631 trillion was collected in December 2025, which is N105.202 billion less than the N1.736 trillion collected in November 2025.
From VAT, N913.957 billion was available in December 2025, higher than the N563.042 billion in November 2025 by N350.915 billion.
Of the N1.969 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N653.500 billion, the State Governments N706.469 billion, and the Local Government Councils N513.272 billion.
Additionally, N96.083 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was allocated to the benefiting States as derivation revenue.
Regarding the N1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N520.807 billion, the State Governments N264.160 billion, and the Local Government Councils N203.656 billion. The same N96.083 billion (13% mineral revenue) was shared among the benefiting States.
From the N846.507 billion in VAT revenue, the Federal Government received N126.976 billion, the State Governments N423.254 billion, and the Local Government Councils N296.277 billion.
The Federal Government received N5.717 billion from the N38.110 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). The State Governments received N19.055 billion, and the Local Government Councils N13.338 billion.
In December 2025, there was a significant increase in Companies Income Tax (CIT)/CGT and STD, Import Duty, and VAT. Oil and Gas Royalty, CET Levies, and Fees increased slightly, while Excise Duty, Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT)/Hydrocarbon Tax (HT), and EMTL saw notable decreases.
