In a statement issued by Comrade Aliyu Abubakar, General Secretary of SUG Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, it was reported that the incident happened yesterday, Monday morning, when Kelvin Danlami hanged himself in his room.
He further mentioned that the Student Union Government and the Dean of Student Affairs reported the matter to the police on the same day, and Kelvin’s parents were summoned to the station.
According to the statement, the police, when they asked Kevin’s parents about their preferred action, decided to have Kelvin’s body released for burial.
The statement also conveyed that the entire student body mourns Kelvin’s passing. His loss is deeply felt, impacting not only his family and friends but the entire university community.
The university community continues to grieve Kelvin’s departure as he answers his Creator’s call.
