NSUBEB Chairman Leads Second-Term Resumption Monitoring in Chanchaga and Bosso LGAs

In alignment with efforts to ensure strict adherence to the resumption of second-term academic activities and the enforcement of the Farmer Governor’s directive on school safety measures, the Executive Chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Dr. Ibrahim A. Liman, led the Board’s Management Team and Monitoring Officers on an inspection tour of selected primary schools in Chanchaga and Bosso Local Government Areas.
During separate interactive sessions with teachers and school management at the visited schools, Dr. Liman highlighted critical challenges identified during his personal assessment. These included shortages of pupils and teachers’ furniture, unconducive learning environments, inadequate lavatory facilities, and security concerns in some schools.
The NSUBEB Chairman assured educators and administrators of the Board’s firm commitment to addressing these issues decisively. He announced that immediate remedial actions would be implemented in certain areas to improve school hygiene, safety, and overall welfare for both pupils and staff.
Discussing promotion and implementation delays, Dr. Liman expressed his concern, drawing from his experience as a former civil servant. He emphasized that delays in promotions and poor implementation could negatively impact morale and productivity among education officers. The Board is actively collaborating with relevant authorities to resolve these matters comprehensively.
Dr. Liman also expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout of teachers on the first day of resumption across the visited schools. He praised their dedication and urged them to maintain this momentum, assuring ongoing regular field visits to monitor their performance and commitment.
The monitored schools include Marafa Primary School, Aliyu Sarkin Yaki Primary School, Usman Nagogo Primary School, IBB Primary School, and Dr. Umar Farouk Bahago Primary School in Chanchaga, as well as Dr. Yahaya Bawa Primary School in Bosso.
