Christians admonished to prepare to usher in New year resolutions,as Kutigi Anglican Diocese holds last Sunday of the year

The Anglican Diocese of St John’s cathedral Church Kutigi in Lavun Local government area under the leaderships of Bishop Jeremiah and Mrs Mary N.Kolo held the Diocesan service at the Church auditorium to mark last Sunday’s of the year 2025.
All Churches in the Kutigi Anglican Diocese assembled at the headquarters as part of the yearly congregational prayer session for the state, and the Nation, reminded Christians in the country to be prepared to usher in new year resolutions of faith,commitment and service to humanity.
Delivering his sermon,”tittled Devine connection and recognition”at Kutigi, to mark the last Sunday of the year 2025, Rev Isaac Saba a retired pastor from UMCA, now commission as an Evangelist in Nupe Christian fellowship international,(NCFI) Kutigi branch, explained that no branch shall bear fruits by itself until it remains in the vine.
Evangelist Saba who focuses his sermon from the books of Psalm 9:1 and John 15,4-5 admonished Christians to be strong and focus,remain in Christ as it is stated in the scripture,”remain in me, as I will also remain in you.
According to him,in whatever we do,we should put our trust in him,who ever dwell in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of Almighty, adding that the Lord is our refuge and my fortress,my God in whom I trust will surely save us.
He Lamented that the needs of the world have overshadows the commitment of Christians to serve the Lord which hitherto befall us into the Fowler’s snare leading to the deadly pestilence.
“As we continue in the affairs of the world let us dwell in the shadows of God in faith,if you make the Lord your refuge and make the most high your dwelling place no harm will come your way.” Evangelist Saba reinterated.
