SULEJA LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL ELECTS HON. AWWAL IBRAHIM AS LEADER OF THE 11TH ASSEMBLY

In a historic move, the newly inaugurated members of the Suleja Legislative Council on Wednesday unanimously elected Hon. Awwal Ibrahim, Councillor representing Ikuh South I (Madalla), as the Leader (Speaker) of the 11th Legislative Assembly of Suleja Local Government Council.
The election, held at the Conference Hall of the Suleja Local Government Secretariat, took place in a peaceful, transparent, and cordial environment, reflecting the unity and cooperation among the council members.
The motion to elect Hon. Awwal Ibrahim as Leader was moved by the Councillor representing Hashimi ‘A’ Ward and seconded by the Councillor representing Maje Ward, after which he was unanimously endorsed by all members present.
Likewise, the council elected the Councillor representing Kurmi Sarki Ward as the Deputy Leader of the Legislative Council.
The selection of Hon. Awwal Ibrahim from Ikuh South is widely regarded as a strategic move toward fair distribution of leadership roles across different zones within Suleja Local Government. This development further promotes inclusiveness, fairness, and collective participation in local government governance.
Members of the Legislative Council expressed their confidence in the leadership abilities of the newly elected officials, committing their support and cooperation to ensure effective legislation and a harmonious partnership with the executive, thereby fostering the development of Suleja Local Government.
