The Niger State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) extends warm congratulations to Governor Umar Muhammad Bago as he marks two years in office. We commend his leadership and vision for Niger State, as reflected in the New Niger Agenda.
Under his stewardship, Niger State has seen significant advancements:
– Agricultural Revolution: Governor Bago has spearheaded an agricultural transformation aimed at making Niger State the nation’s food basket.
-Infrastructural Development:His administration has initiated ambitious road construction projects, including 202 kilometers of township roads in Minna and 1,400 kilometers statewide.
– Improved Healthcare:The governor has commenced the construction of 100 Level 2 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state, with 20 already commissioned. These centres will provide essential health services.
– Employment Opportunities: Young graduates have been offered job opportunities within the Niger State Civil Service.
– Women and Youth Empowerment:** The administration has implemented policies to empower women and youth, fostering economic growth and development.
– Rehabilitation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Airport:The rehabilitation of the airport has resumed air traffic, enhancing connectivity and stimulating economic activities.
