Two years in Office: Governor Bago Says His Administration is guided by a Clear Vision .
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, commonly referred to as the “farmer governor,” stated that the last two years of his administration have been directed by a clear vision and purpose.
He emphasized a forward-thinking agenda aimed at transforming the State into a model of sustainable growth and innovation in Nigeria.
In a statement made by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, to commemorate his two years in office, Bago mentioned that the State is undergoing a strategic and transformative development.
He noted that since taking office on May 29, 2023, his administration has managed the affairs of the State with distinctive ambition, passion, vigor, and commitment.
The Governor highlighted numerous achievements across various sectors, including Agriculture, Infrastructure, Urban Renewal, Education, Health, Economic Empowerment for youth and women, Transportation, and Security. He attributed these successes to the collective effort of the people.
“The accomplishments we have made are testaments to the shared vision and collective will of our community. The building of a New Niger is underway, and my administration remains dedicated to it,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the residents of Niger State for their trust, understanding, and support, explaining that the two-year anniversary serves as a moment for both reflection and renewed commitment to building a future of resilience and prosperity.
The Governor also commended journalists and media organizations for their relentless contributions in promoting the developmental strides of his administration over the past two years.
He urged them to remain dedicated to effective and objective reporting while upholding the ethical standards of the profession. He reiterated that his administration is always open to constructive criticism aimed at the overall development of the State.
Finally, the farmer governor reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and the implementation of people-oriented policies and programs designed to uplift all citizens.
