Niger State Governor Commissions SUVs for Revenue Service Directors
Niger State Governor, Farmer Muhammad Umar Bago, officially commissioned 11 Vehicle today, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Government House.
The vehicles were procured and presented to the directors of the Niger State Internal Revenue Service (NGIRS) by the NGIRS Chairman, Mohammed Madami Etsu, in recognition of their hard work and dedication to public service.
Governor Bago announced that an additional seven vehicles are expected to arrive next month, intended for allocation to individuals in the next rank within the organization.
He commended the NGIRS for surpassing a remarkable 100 billion naira in revenue generation, an achievement he described as unprecedented in the history of Niger State since its establishment in 1976.
Moreover, the Governor urged the Service to aim for a trillion naira in revenue by the next year, noting that ongoing projects, including the development of trailer parks, would soon be completed and commissioned.
He mentioned that toll gates would be installed in collaboration with the Federal Government as part of the state’s revenue enhancement initiatives.
