Niger State Government Allocates N1.317 Billion for Enhanced Learning Environments in Public Schools
The Niger State Government has officially approved a budget of N1.317 billion for the production of 23,400 new chairs designed for public schools across the state.
During a recent post-Council briefing held at the Government House in Minna, Hajiya Binta Mamman, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, highlighted this initiative as part of the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive learning and teaching environment in public educational institutions.
The new chairs, which will feature an attached locker, are set to be distributed throughout the state’s public schools, aligning with the government’s focus on improving educational infrastructure.
In addition to this announcement, the Commissioner also shared a cabinet reshuffle, revealing that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has appointed Mr. Jonathan Vatsa as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, a shift from his previous role as Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership. Vatsa’s extensive experience as a former Commissioner for Information is expected to enhance communication strategies within the administration.
Commissioner Mamman reiterated the administration’s dedication to citizen welfare and its ongoing efforts to deliver effective governance in all sectors.
She emphasized that the various initiatives introduced by the Bago administration are already producing positive results, encouraging citizens to seek clarity from the Ministry of Information and Strategy to combat misinformation and false narratives.
