Governor Bago Commemorates World War II Victims at Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

In a solemn tribute to the victims of World War II, Niger State Governor and farmer, Mohammed Umaru Bago, recently visited the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Russia.
This site, known for its historical significance, marks the somber remembrance of the hundreds of thousands who perished during the 900-day siege of Leningrad.
Accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, and other high-ranking government officials, including Chairman of Niger Foods, Sammy Adigun, Bago laid a wreath to honor the sacrifices made by both civilians and soldiers during the conflict.
During his visit, Governor Bago reflected on the profound sacrifices endured during the war, expressing empathy and solidarity with the Russian people.
He emphasized the importance of learning from historical events to foster a more peaceful world, while highlighting the vital role of international relations in strengthening connections between regions and preserving the memories of past generations for future generations.
