Dangote Packaging Limited Launches Advanced Technology.

In a significant development, Dangote Packaging Limited (DPL) has commissioned state-of-the-art machinery to enhance its production capabilities. At the commissioning event on Wednesday, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of DPL, Mr. Sai Prakash, highlighted the key features of the new machinery, describing them as the latest in “state-of-the-art” technology.
He noted that the introduction of this machinery marks a major accomplishment and will contribute to improved productivity and the quality of the bags produced at the Obajana Plant.
The Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Arvind Pathak, who attended the event, expressed his admiration for the new installations.
He pointed out the significant changes that have occurred over the years since the inception of cement bag production, believing that the newly acquired technologies will help address gaps in the production of high-quality bags.
Also present were Mr. Sunil Mahajan, Chief Manufacturing Officer of Dangote Cement Plc, and Mr. Anandam Duraisamy, Director of Operations for Nigeria, Dangote Cement Plc, who echoed similar sentiments. They expressed optimism that substantial progress would be made in the coming days, both in terms of production quantities and the quality of the cement bags.
The Plant Director of Obajana Dangote Cement Plc, Engr. Azad Nawabuddin, was hopeful that the new machinery would significantly improve the operations of both DPL and Dangote Cement Plc, and emphasized the ongoing support of DCP Obajana for DPL operations.
In his welcome address, the General Manager of Dangote Packaging Limited at the Obajana Plant, Mr. Peter Dickson, remarked, “Today, we stand at the edge of a new era, an era where we are poised to achieve greater heights with the help of this cutting-edge technology.”
He added, “As we commission this machinery, let us also look ahead to the possibilities it unlocks. With this new technology, we are not just investing in a machine but in our future as a manufacturer of high-quality polypropylene laminated sacks.”
Mr. Dickson emphasized that the new machinery is high-speed, innovative, and equipped with advanced technology.
