Niger Governor Umaru Bago Officially Sworn in New Members to the State Independent Electoral Commission.

In a significant move towards reinforcing electoral processes, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has officially sworn in the new members of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission.
The ceremony was held at Senior Magistrate Court 7, where Halima Yusuf administered the oath of office and allegiance to the commission’s Chairman and members.
Governor Bago commended the newly appointed officials for their exemplary reputations and dedication, noting their distinguished service across various levels within Niger State.
He emphasized the importance of their roles as they prepare to oversee the upcoming 2025 Local Government Council elections, urging them to begin their responsibilities immediately.
The Governor reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to providing all necessary support to ensure the commission’s success.
Engr. Mohammed Jibrin Imam, the newly appointed Chairman of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission, expressed gratitude to Governor Bago for entrusting them with this critical responsibility.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, he assured the Governor that the commission would rise to the occasion and adhere to all prescribed electoral guidelines.
