Niger State govt. initiates discussions with FAAN to ensure Smooth Export of Agricultural Produce.

The Niger State government has started discussions with the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) aimed at enhancing services for agricultural projects at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
Mr. Daniel Tsado Musa, the Deputy General Manager of Cargo Development Services at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, led a FAAN delegation to the Niger State liaison office in Abuja for the inaugural meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Tsado Musa expressed that FAAN is aware of the agricultural revolution initiated by the Niger State government and is willing to assist in its implementation, particularly concerning the export of agricultural products.
He further elaborated that with a solid partnership established, FAAN will ensure collaboration with relevant agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, NDLEA, among others. Services like plant quarantine, cold storage, airline carriers, security, and safety will be provided to facilitate seamless exports of agricultural products.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman, stated that the state government is open to guidance from FAAN and other relevant agencies.
He mentioned that documents would be exchanged, and arrangements made for further discussions to strengthen the collaboration.
Additionally, Mr. Sammy Adigun, Chairman of Niger Foods, highlighted two major agricultural projects: the Special Agro-processing Zone and the Free Zone at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The state government also welcomed a representative from a signage consulting firm who presented a proposal for developing gantries, cantilevers, street names, house numbers, and speed bumps throughout the state.
