Tragic Tanker Explosion Claims Lives in Dikko Junction

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed his profound shock over a devastating tanker explosion that took place at Dikko Junction along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, resulting in the loss of several lives.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described the incident as worrisome, heartbreaking, and unfortunate.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, as well as for the healing of the injured.
The Governor urged the community to prioritize safety and act responsibly, especially in the wake of such tragic events.
He has directed relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to take necessary actions and called on security personnel to enhance safety measures in the area.
Reports indicate that a Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) tanker exploded this morning, leading to a rush by some residents to scoop its contents.
Unfortunately, many individuals suffered severe burns, with scores reportedly perishing in the incident.
