Niger State Governor Umaru Bago to Settle PTA Fees for Children in Public Schools

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has announced that he will pay the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) fees for all children attending public schools in the state.
Governor Bago made this statement during a meeting with stakeholders in Sarkin Pawa, the headquarters of Munya Local Government Area.
He explained that this initiative is aimed at encouraging parents to enroll their children in school, as education is a key factor for achieving success in life.
Additionally, the governor revealed that the state government will provide free school uniforms for all children in public schools.
He stressed that no child should be sent home due to PTA fees or the lack of school uniforms, emphasizing that children should be allowed to receive an education regardless of these factors.
Bago urged parents to prioritize their children’s education rather than allowing them to engage in mining activities.
He also promised to implement measures to enhance school safety, including fencing all public schools in Munya under the Safe School initiative, and to deliver more benefits to the community
