Governor Bago Expresses Condolences Over the Passing of Deputy Chief Whip Adewunmi Onanuga

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State is mourning the loss of Adewunmi Onanuga, the House of Representatives Deputy Chief Whip and representative for the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State.
In a condolence message issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago describes her passing as a substantial loss for the entire nation.
He emphasizes Onanuga’s dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to nation-building, noting the significant void her absence has created—one that only God can fill.
The governor extends his heartfelt sympathies to the leadership and members of the 10th House of Representatives, as well as to the constituents of Adewunmi Onanuga during this challenging time.
He prays for the repose of her soul and seeks comfort for all those affected by her death.
Adewunmi Onanuga was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and served as the Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development in the 9th Assembly.
She was re-elected in 2023 and took on the role of Deputy Chief Whip in the 10th Assembly until her untimely passing.
