Nigerian Police Recover Abandoned Car, Urge Owner to Come for Verification

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command have recovered an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep, a Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, in Abuja.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Josephine Adeh, announced on Friday that the vehicle was recovered on December 31, 2024, during a routine patrol.
She explained that the abandoned Toyota Prado was found along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate, Apo-Gudu.
Upon inspection, it was noted that the vehicle had no registration number. A search conducted on the vehicle uncovered a silver-colored eagle insignia, various video/audio cables, and a car stereo remote.
“Further investigations revealed that the sticker indicating the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced,” SP Josephine stated.
The vehicle has since been towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II.
The police are calling on members of the public who may have missing vehicles matching the description of the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep to visit the FCT Command for verification and possible recovery.
