Niger State First Lady Launches distribution of OneNigeria Unity Fabric
Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, Wife of Niger State Governor, has launched the OneNigeria Unity Fabric initiative in Minna, emphasizing unity and strength in diversity.
The event, led by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, celebrates Nigeria’s cultural diversity while recognizing shared values.
She said the fabric symbolizes our unity as Nigerians.
“Every thread represents our shared hopes and dreams for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.”
“It is a call for unity in diversity, a reminder that despite our differences, we are stronger together as one,” she said.
Hajiya Fatima Bago noted that Niger State has historically been a beacon of peace and harmony.
She urged citizens to support one another, especially the less privileged, during challenging times.
She emphasized unity as a collective responsibility, beginning with small acts of kindness within communities.
Hajiya Bago thanked Senator Tinubu for her visionary leadership and the participants for their support.
The governor’s wife encouraged citizens to wear the fabric with pride, reminding them of their shared Nigerian identity.
The OneNigeria Unity Fabric initiative aims to foster unity across Nigeria.
The event saw distribution 50 pieces of the unity fabrics to each of the 25 local government areas as well as some inter-tribal associations in the state.
