NiCare Launches Retiree Medical Insurance Package (RMIP) for Pensioners.
The Niger State Contributory Health Agency-NiCare has launched the Retiree Medical Insurance Package (RMIP), demonstrating the state’s dedication to providing quality healthcare for retirees.
The Executive Secretary/CEO of NiCare,Abubakar Suleiman expressed gratitude to retirees for their contributions, stating, that the scheme recognises their contributions to the state during their active years in service and ensuring their well-being and access to quality healthcare.
According to him the initiative aligns with Governor Mohammad Umaru Bago’s vision for an all inclusive healthcare for the vulnerable person in the state.
Honorable Commissioner for Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare, Dr. Bello Tukur, in his vote of thank stated that those enrolled today played key roles in the establishment of NiCare during their active year in the service.
Dr Tukur observed that the scheme will serve as a solution to so many challenges being faced by the vulnerable persons in the society particularly the Senior Citizens and urge them to collectively embrace.
On-the-spot enrollments were conducted, with retirees receiving health cards and immediate medical treatment for health challenges.
Among Stakeholders who attended the flag-off ceremony, includes Stephen Zita, Chairman Joint Action Committee, and Alhaji Nasiru Saidu Namaska, Director General of the Niger State Pension Board,who unanimously pledged support and collaboration.
