DG Pension board receive praises from the C/M Association of retired HOS,Chairman JAC for job well-done.
The chairman ,Association of retired Head of service, Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu Madugu and that of Joint Action Committee and Secretary of retired Permanent secretary,, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Barde has paid courtesy visit to the Director General of Niger state pension board, Mallam Nasiru Saidu Namaska in his Office to appreciate his efforts in repositioning the pension board and for the smooth payment of gratuity.
Madugu in an interview immediately after the visit said they were in his office to appreciate him for the way he has been conducting the payment of gratuity without hitch and to advise him on the way forward,
“We have discussed extensively with the DG and he has told us how the exercise has been going on in batches,we sincerely appreciate the conduct and we have requested him to improved on number of people to be captured for the payment on batches and he has also assured us if fund are made available the number will increase to fast-tracked the exercise “.
Madugu appealled to retirees in the state to exercise greater patience as the board through the DG has assured that the exercise will continue non-stop until every retiree gets his or her gratuity.
“I told the DG that I will discuss with retirees to exercise more patience, because the time they have waited since their retirement until now is so long and that the time that they would wait to get their cheques will be very small,So let them exercise greater patience as the board through the DG has assured every retiree will receive his gratuity very soon”.
On a related development the Secretary of the Association of Permanent secretary and Chairman Joint Action Committee of retirees,Alhaji Muhammed Sani Barde srated that they have observed the on going exercise have been successfully conducted and transparent, we are happy with the pace with which is moving, and we hope that by and large every retiree will eventually collect his or her cheque.
He then advised that Niger state government in collaboration with pension board should lay more emphasis on documentation right from service.,When you enter service, there should be continuous update on staff documentations so that by the time it is six months for retirement Pension board will only be waiting for retiree to collect his retirement benefits.
