Political Advice urges support for Gov Bago for optimum performance

Alhaji Mohammed Nma-Kolo, Special Adviser (Political) to Gov. Umaru Bago of Niger, has urged citizens of the state to support the current administration to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to them.
Nma-Kolo, who spoke while addressing newsmen on Monday in Minna on the backdrop of the recent planned protests, urged the youth to disregard any call to protest for selfish interests.
He said that Bago’s APC-led administration had demonstrated the commitment to bring about a new Niger so far.
According to him, the governor deserves the cooperation of all and not unnecessary distractions.
Nma-Kolo said while the government was providing massive infrastructure development with accompanied peace, security and unity; it requires the support of all.
He said that the government had carried everyone along, irrespective of ethnic, political and religious affiliations.
The special adviser assured that the government would continue to live above board in spite of challenges.
Nma-Kolo said that there was no society without its peculiar challenges but Bago has mitigated the challenges.
He said all political stakeholders had unhindered access to the government for constructive suggestions, and admonished them to leverage on that to ventilate the window of positive engagement.
“We must join hands together to ensure that we support the ongoing massive development in the state, disregard anybody who wants to lure us into acts that are inimical to development, `he said.
He lauded the conduct of key political players across all political parties in the state for their maturity and adherence to rules of engagement.
Nma-Kolo advised that the peace being enjoyed in the state should not be truncated by any form of protest, but channeled towards productive ventures.(NAN)
