Vigilante Corps ready to curb Banditry and kidnapping,requests for working materials.
Armed Banditry, kidnapping and other criminal tendencies in Niger State will soon be a thing of the past.
The Assistant state Operations officer of the state Vigilante Corps, Alhaji Sule Butu disclosed this while addressing men and officers of the Vigilante Corps shortly after a town hall meeting organised by the Niger state Government on the state of the Affairs in the state at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International conference center in minna.
He said the state command of the Vigilante Corps under the able leadership of Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed Manta has vowed to fight this negative tendencies to it’s logical conclusion.
Alhaji Sule Butu said for over nine months now Maikunkele,Beji, Zungeru and Wushishi axis have not witness any case of cattle rustling and kidnapping and assured that it would be maintained.
The state Assistant operations officer of the Vigilante Corps appealed to the state Government under the able leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to Assist members of the Vigilante Corps with Vehicles and other necessary working materials for effective and efficient service delivery.
Alhaji Butu however promised to work and fight the enemies of our land within the ambit of the Law with the support and cooperation of other security apparatus in the state for peace to return to our state.
The state Vigilante assistant operations officer informed the gathering that there is no any faction faction in the state Vigilante Corps adding those trying to do that should desist forthwith or face disciplinary actions against them.
Alhaji Sule Butu also affirmed that Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed Manta still remain the state commander of the Vigilante Corps adding he is the one the Government of Niger state under the able leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago recognized as their commander.
Alhaji Sule Butu then pledged his continue loyalty, support and cooperation to commander Nasiru Mohammed Manta in his efforts to rid the state of Armed Banditry, Kidnapping and other criminality in the state.
All the Commanders of the Vigilante Corps across the twenty five local Government areas attended the Meeting.
