Applauds Supreme Court Judgement on local government Financial Autonomy

Dr. Cesnabmililo Nuhu Aken’Ova, a former presidential aspirant under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has commended the Supreme Court’s judgement on local government financial autonomy.
The judgement is a significant milestone in promoting grassroots development and democratic restructuring in Nigeria.
Aken’Ova urged Nigerians to be patient with the President Tinubu administration, assuring that the benefits of the judgement will trickle down to the local government level.
She received an honorary Doctor of Laws award from Gold Mind Resource Seminary at the Salvation Teaching Centre in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

She however called on the government not to take citizens for granted and advocated for enhanced security measures to ensure sustainable development.
She encouraged youths to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, ahead of the planned nationwide protest.
Bishop Samso Shangyibwa of the Salvation Teaching Centre and Senate President of Gold Mind Resource Seminary charged the awardees to do more in their service to God and humanity.
He emphasized that protest cannot manufacture miracles and urged the government and leaders to be conscious and do the needful for citizens.
