NYCN commends organised labour for ensuring welfare of civil servants in Niger state
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Niger State Chapter, has commended the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC in the state led by Comrade ldrees Abdulkareem Lafene for ensuring welfare of civil servants in the state.
A statement signed by Comrade Adamu Yahaya Legbo, Secretary of the council made available to newsmen in Minna, Niger state.
Comrade Adamu Yahaya Legbo commended the unwavering committment of the organised labour ensuring that civil servants are treated with fairness and justice in times of their wages salaries.
“On behalf of the youth, we extend our heartfelt appreciation and commendation to the leadership of organised Labour of Niger State Chapter, ably led by Senior Comrade ldrees Abdulkareem Lafene.
Your unwavering commitment towards ensuring wages and salary sanity for the civil servants of our state, driven by justice and fairness, is truly commendable.
“Your dedication has not only uplifted the morale of our civil servants but has also set a benchmark for labor leadership across the nation,” he said.
He also extended the council’s profound gratitude to the Niger State Government under the leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.
He said the governor’s approval, enabling synergy and cooperation have been instrumental in bringing this noble cause to fruition.
The NYCN Secretary said the initiative has significantly reimposed confidence in the minds of civil servants, who are predominantly youth in the government’s commitment to workers welfare.
He noted that the governor’s political will to eradicate ghost workers in the State and Local Civil Service systems is a testament to his dedication to transparency and efficiency in governance.
Comrade Adamu Yahaya Legbo added that initiative has not only ensures that deserving civil servants receive their rightful dues, but also strengthens the integrity of the state civil service system.
He lauded the leadership of organised labour and the Niger State Government for their exemplary efforts, adding that their actions have set a positive precedent and have reinforced the belief that with the right leadership, justice and fairness can prevail in our society.
