Jakada of Borgu Youth Vanguard Inaugurated to Expand Access to Quality Education.
The Jakada (leader) of BORGU Youth Vanguard has been inaugurated in New Bussa, Borgu local government of Niger state at the Feby Hall today, June 20, 2024.
The association is inaugurated to expand access to quality education and job training for teachers and youths, entrepreneurship and to creat youths inclusiveness in the Helms of affairs in the area.
During the inauguration, Hon. Abdulrazak Mu’azu Jikantoro, the patron of the association and the Permanent Member Four in NSUBEB, highlighted the achievements of the agency under the leadership of the Chairman Alh. Baba Ahmed as part of their efforts to address the challenges faced by primary school teachers in the state,
According to him,the agency plans to assess and evaluate the problems, and to create a conducive environment for learning to strive.
He emphasized that the current team in SUBEB is determined to change the narrative by improving infrastructure, provision of necessary teaching and learning materials, and to improve teachers’ welfare.
He also dispelled the belief that SUBEB is solely focused on awarding contracts, stating that all efforts are now focused on improving educational standard in the state.
Abdulrazak mentioned that due to the governor’s dedication to the welfare of teachers, the refund of 7.5% owed Teachers will be paid immediately.
He further explained that the governor’s plan to build six mega schools has evolved to constructing effective schools in six local council areas, including BORGU, with the aim of standardizing education.
During the event, the Chairman of the occasion, Alh. Suleiman Kilishi Yerima, who is also the Chairman of BORGU Local Government, commended the Jakada of BORGU for his foresight in ensuring that the educational achievements of Governor Umar Mohammed Bago benefit the BORGU community.
He also expressed gratitude to the board member for his support in ensuring that the 135 newly appointed teachers by the council chairman, Suleiman Yerima, are duly recognized.
Earlierin his speech,the president of the Association,comrade Awwal Musa Sarkin Yaki posited that the patron of the association Jakada of BORGU is a man with many parts,a philanthropist, a man with uncommon character, a workaholic and of course God fearing individual whose antics are worthy of emulation .
He however thanked Hon.Abdulrazak for his fatherly and financial support to the association and promised to work assiduously so as to achieve the aim of the association.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Comr. Ridwan Mohammed Sanni, the Director of Humanitarian Services of BORGU Youth Vanguard, stated that the association was founded in 2023 by a dedicated group of 10 individuals with the aim of empowering the local community through cultural events, educational resources, and humanitarian outreach programs.
