Niger Community Decries Over Young Girls Recruitment for Prostitution

Residents of Lapai have raised alarm over the illegal secret operation of brothels where young girls are been recruited as sex workers by an alleged Benue state woman at the headquarters of Lapai local government of Niger state.
Our reporter reliably gathered that
the area is located at Etsu Muhammadu Kobo Development Area back of the council secretariat for over ten years has now opened a branch around Mararaba area of Lapai.
It was further revealed that many young girls have fallen victim to the menace of the popular Mama P operation of sex workers recruitment exercise and selling of alcoholic drinks in the area which has grown to alarming state unabated
An ananymous resident in an exclusive interview called on the Niger state governor, Mohammed Umar Bago and the Lapai local government chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Kirikpo to urgently implement shari’a law against such operations in Niger state.
Other residents Hassan Usman Sonmaji
and Abdullahi Sani in their saperate interview lamented over the consequences of such operation on their children, the community and Insecurity however called for the arrest of the perpetrator and demolition of the building.
They appealed for the immediate closed down illegal brothel to forestall the negative impact of such operation on the community without further delay.
All efforts to get the response of the Niger State Liquor Board proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
