Voice of Nigeria Embarks on Collaborative Efforts to Promote National Image

The Director General of Viice Of Nigeria Mal Jibrin Baba Ndace, has underscored the pivotal role of collaboration and capacity building
in a strategic move to fortify the Voice of Nigeria (VON) and bolster its mission to safeguard the nation’s image.
The initiative gained momentum as Mal Ndace played host to Comrade Abu Nmodu, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Niger State Chapter, and his team in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Expressing his commitment to rebranding VON, Mal Ndace called for support from both local and international media stakeholders to accomplish the organization’s mandate.
He assured the NUJ team from Niger State of his determination to forge partnerships that would enhance journalism development not only in Niger State but also across the country.
In response, Comrade Abu Nmodu congratulated Mal Ndace on his appointment as the DG of VON, commending President Bola Tinubu for selecting a seasoned journalist to lead the organization.
Nmodu also lauded the appointment of Mohammed Idris as the Minister of Information, recognizing his expertise as a public relations professional and adept politician tasked with projecting the nation’s image globally.
Looking ahead, Nmodu informed the DG about their plans for a Press Week in January 2024, with Mal Ndace slated as a guest lecturer.
Advocating for adequate funding for VON and other government-affiliated media outlets, Abu Nmodu emphasized the crucial role these entities play in aligning with President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the country.
