COMMISSIONER OF WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEV.,UMAR SULAIMAN ASSUMES OFFICE – calls for staff cooparation.

The new commissioner ministry of works and infrastructural development, Alhaji Umar Suleiman has seeks the cooperation of the staff of the ministry for him to achieve the goal of infrastructural development in the state.
The Commissioner made the appeal when he assumed office yesterday.
He emphasized on the need for hardwork and dedication to duty from the staff and affirmed his readiness for teamwork to ensure that Nigerlites enjoy quality job in term of infrastructural developments.
He urged the staff of the ministry to embrace the development Agenda of His Excellence Hon. Mohammad Umar Bago of turning the fortune of the state to enviable status in terms of roads infrastructures and other viable projects In the state.
Speaking earlier, the permanent secretary of the ministry, QS. Hassan Baba Esu assured the commissioner of maximum cooperation within the confirmed of the ministry’s mandate to support him at the course of discharging his duty with a view of moving the state forward.
He further stated that the ministry is determined and focus in having experience engineers with technical knwo-how to deliver and also supervise road projects across the state.
He said that the major challenges of the ministry was none of releasing of funds, office accommodation among others.
According to the permanent secretary, the ministry is determined to support his dreams and aspirations coupled with the political will of Mr Governor to push things forward for the betterment of the state.
QS Hassan Baba Esu then informed the commissioner of the abandoned road projects in the state which requires urgent attention as ember month is fast approaching.
According to him, five man committee has been set up to tour round the 10 Area offices to ascertain the level of dilapidation of structures and report back. He said the aim is to retrieve back the encroached lands of the Area offices across the state with the view of developing in them.
Speaking in the same vein, Director Civil Engineering Services Engr. Ahmed Musa Tanko spoke on soil analysis laboratory which was built and abandoned for years has posed a challenge to the activities of the department.
He informed the commissioner that the ministry has qualified engineers ready to put in their best in term of road construction project and appeal to him to look into their plights for proper utilisation.
In there separate goodwill massages, director administration Alhaji Gambo, Director budget planning Engr Musa, Director public building Arch kudu and others assured the Commissioner of their maximum support and cooperation.
