Gov. Bago attends wedding fathia of daughter of his DG campaign, preaches peace,
Governor of Niger state, Mohammed Umaru Bago, on Saturday attended the wedding fathia of daughter Director-General of his campaign, Alhaji Isah Sidi-Rijau in Minna.
The wedding fathia which took place Sheikh Nafui’s Mosque, Sauka-Hauta, between Masauda Sidi and Ana’s Graba, had the governor who served as the father of the bride.
Bago, who was represented by his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, advised the couple to live together in patient and unity.
“As our tradition in Islamic, I want to advised the couple to live in peace and be patient with each other, they should love each other,” he said.
In his remarks, Sidi-Rijau, expressed happiness for giving out his first daughter for marriage and advised the couple to be patient, fair and be loyal to each other.
Also, Alhaji Shehu Rijau, member, representing Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency, described the father of the bride as “a brother and boss and wished the couple a happy married life.
Similarly, Alhaji Bello Bako, member representing Rijau Constituency, advised the couple to manage themselves and be patient with one another.
Also, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, former Chairman of Brogu, said marriage need peace and endurance, urging the couple to be patient with one another as well manage themselves well in order to have a successful marriage.
It is reported that N100,000 was paid as dowry.
