CP NIGER PRESENTS CHEQUES TO NEXT OF KIN, DECORATES PROMOTED JUNIOR POLICE PERSONNEL WITH NEW RANKS.
The Niger State Commissioner of Police,CP Ogundele J. Ayodeji, psc(+)has presents cheques amounting to twenty-six million, two hundred and twenty-seven thousand, four hundred and nine naira, seventeen kobo (#26,227,409.17k) to fifteen beneficiaries of deceased Police personnel families under Group Life Assurance (GLA), and thirty-eight others who sustained one injury or the other in the line of duty under Group Personal Accident (GPA) of the IGP’s welfare schemes.
CP Ogundele while presenting the cheque to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba CFR, at the State Police Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura Minna, stated that is geared towards providing succor for the deceased families and to also cater for the medical treatment expenses of the injured policemen while on duty.
He prayed for the repose of the departed souls and prayed God to grant the families fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, as he equally wished the injured personnel quick recovery from the various injuries sustained.
In another development, the IGP has recently promoted 31,465 junior cadre of the Force nationwide, and 513 personnel in Niger State Police Command benefitted as follows;
-Sergeant to Inspector-351
-Constable to Corporal-162
While decorating the promoted personnel in his office,the CP Ogundele stressed that promotion is an additional responsibility, he encouraged them to imbibe a positive change of attitude to ensure professionalism on duty and be to more committed to their job.
He also admonished the newly promoted inspectors to lead by example, serve as role models for the rank and file, and be dedicated to duty, while he prayed that this will not be the last promotion in their chosen career.
