Suleja Local Government Boss Disburses Cash to Hundreds of Muslims Faithful.
The Executive Chairman of Suleja Local Government Council, Hon. Isyaku Bawa Naibi, has disbursed cash to hundreds of people across the ten (10) wards of the Local Government Area for Sallah celebrations.
Hon. Naibi while making the disbursements at the local government secretariat on Wednesday said the gesture was to assist the needy to celebrate the Sallah in a happy mood.
Na’ibi who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Malam Abdulrahim Idris Salanke, said it’s necessary to extend this gesture to the voiceless, especially during this holy month of Ramadan. The gesture is to give them a day after the Eid- Il- Fitr, but the Chairman directed us to share it before the Sallah, He added.
“Assisting the needy is necessary because it is the teaching of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
“That is why in this administration, there is a department for Youths and Empowerment, the main purpose of the department is to create employment and provides assistants to the needy, especially on a period like Ramadan/Sallah packages”, Salanke said.
The Secretary of the Council and the Committee Secretary, Hon. Jibril Yakubu said the exercise is aimed at sharing N10,000 with each of the beneficiaries across the 10 wards.
The Supervisory Councilor, Department of Youths and Empowerment, and Committee Chairman of the exercise, Hon. Ishaq T. Madallah, said the current administration of Hon. Isyaku Bawa Naibi has a great blueprint for empowering women and youth in the local government, that the Sallah disbursement is one among many in agenda.
