Born on June 12, 1975, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf holds degrees in Business Administration, Taxation, and a Master’s in Project Management all of which have supported his distinguished career in public finance and administration.
With over 24 years of service in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Abuja, he began as a Commercial Officer in 2002 and advanced to Assistant Director.
His career includes roles such as accountant with the Secondary Education Board of FCT, Budget Officer, Principal Accountant, Chief Accountant, and Acting Director of Finance and Accounts Services at the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS).
He is currently employed at the Office of the Head of Service of the FCTA.
His expertise encompasses budgeting, treasury management, taxation, financial planning, and institutional administration, making him one of Nigeria’s most experienced public financial managers.
A proficient user of modern financial planning and management techniques, he is a respected member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
His community service and dedication to development further prepare him to serve effectively as Wazirin Kontagora.
