Niger Dep Gov optimistic about APC victory in Niger

Niger state Deputy Governor, Alh. Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain power in the state.
The Deputy Governor who casted his vote at the Ketso polling unit number 010, situated at the Junior Secondary School, Ketso in Mokwa local government area of the state, said, “APC is a party to beat in Niger state.”
He said he was confident that the electorates believe in the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago and will vote for him just the way they did for their presidential candidate during the February 25 presidential and national assembly election.
The Deputy Governor said APC in Niger state in collaboration with all support groups of the party had done well in terms of mobilization and canvassing for votes which was evident in the presidential election, disclosing that Niger state gave APC the highest vote in the North central zone and was fourth in the Northern region.
He was upbeat that Nigerlites will do the same for Hon. Umar Bago because he is the right man for the job, being the most qualified among all the candidates presented by political parties in the state.
“I am confident that our party will emarge victorious at the end of the day. Our candidate is the best among all the candidates and with our mobilization strategy we are expecting nothing short of victory,” he said.
While speaking on the voting process, the Deputy Governor commended INEC for a job well done, saying the process from accreditation to voting was smooth and that there was significant improvement in use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS by the INEC polling unit officials.
On the turn out of voters he observed that there was significant improvement especially on the part of the women, appreciated Nigerlites, particularly his community people for believing in the Nigeria electoral system.
The Deputy Governor equally use the opportunity to appreciate his community members and Nigerlites by extension for their support to the Governor Abubakar Sani Bello administration which is gradually unfolding and appealed to them to accord the incoming government same support, believing that Niger State will witness unprecedented development with Hon. Umar Bago at the helm of affairs.
