Verify your stories before go on air–Kebbi University 1VC beg journalists

The Management of the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology Aliero has appeal to the journalists in the State to always verify and balancing their report before going on air.
In a statement signed by the Acting Registrar of the University Alhaji Maimaru Tili and made available to newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, expressing dismay over a report written by online newspaper paper that the university is in a stage of collapsing.
He pointed out that the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology was listed among the best universities in Nigeria by the NUC in which is in 25 positions and the university programmes were fully accredited.
He explained further that the university had one of the best e__library in the country, ultra mordern facilities as attested by various accreditation teams.
“you see our attention had been drawn by the published on March 1st 2023 in independent newspapers that the university is in a stage of collapsed which we appeal the reporter to be balancing their news report before its go on air.
“if you have your grievence on welfare issue affecting your members, you can channel it to the appropriate authorities concerned not to go on air, and is not only this university as a claimed, it also comprises of their public universities’
” as the this present Vice Chancellor professor Bashir Ladan Aliero has made tremendous efforts in promotion, staff welfare, academic excellence and provision of infrastructure facilities within the last 5 years ” he added.
He added that the state government has also settled the earned academic allowance (EAA) of about N451m in 2019 while the management at its own level paid the sumofN73m over the years followed by prompt payments of salaries and allowances.
” during 8 month strike, the Kebbi government did not apply no work no pay to the staff, we are not happy with the report labelling against the management, council and the state government as the management remain focused and determined more than ever before to provide dynamics and purposeful leadership towards achieving the university vision and mission” he said.
He then called on the the General public as well as the staff, student and also members of the community to disregard the publication and continued to support and cooperate with the university management as we are on course for a virile virile and stable university of our dream.
