The Executive Secretary, Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, has disclosed that the Board has already put machinaries in motion for the successful takeoff of Hajj savings scheme in the state.
Speaking after meeting with the management of Jaiz Bank, Minna branch the secretary of the Board Alhaji Umar Makun stated plan have completed to engage the Bank for the processes.
He said the purpose of the interface was to discuss on how to ensure that rural populace were sensitize to know the benefits of the Hajj savings scheme, adding that the board has already put in some structures and will soon commence deposit of Hajj fares on pay-as-you-go on the savings scheme.
He explained that the desk officers in charge of Hajj savings scheme will be trained by the bank to acquaint them with the banking procedure
Alh.Makun Lapai further assured the bankers of their preparedness to key into the scheme in full force through sensitization and other related activities.
