Gov. Umaru Bago joins other Northern Governors in a meeting with UN Delegates for partnership in critical Areas.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State, was among some Northern States Governors that met with the leadership of the United Nations on the sideline of the just concluded 2024 World Bank/IMF Spring meeting in Washington DC.
The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, led the delegation of the United Nations, while the Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda led the Northern Governors.
The meeting is aimed at seeking support from the United Nations in some critical sectors such as ICT, energy, food security, climate change, education,and financing among others.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago and other Governors at the meeting,in their separate remarks,stressed the need for continuous collaboration so as to addressed the array of challenges confronting their States.
The Governors also met with leaders of other Development Partners with a view to getting further support.
